Our mold cleaning service involves carefully inspecting, cleaning, and preparing your tapes or film before transfer, ensuring the best possible playback and digital preservation. Please note that additional charges apply depending on the severity of the mold and the time required for safe cleaning.

IMPORTANT guideLINES to prepare media for transfer

To ensure a smooth and accurate transfer process, please review the following guidelines before bringing your media to ADS Studio:

Order of Media:
If you require your tapes, photos, slides, or film to be transferred in a specific sequence, please label each item with a clear number order prior to your visit. Inform the studio of this requirement when dropping off your materials.
Media Condition:
Notify the studio of any known issues with your media, such as:
- Poor video or audio quality
- Missing audio
- Camera malfunctions during original recording

If any media is damaged and requires repair before transfer, please advise the studio in advance.
Transfer Output Preferences:
Let us know how many copies you require and what type(s) of storage you prefer. Options include:
- Delivered digitally through a secure online download link
- Digital files on a USB flash drive
- DVD
- Blu-ray Disc

If multiple formats are needed, please specify at the time of submission.
Sensitive Content:
If your media contains sensitive or private content, please inform the studio prior to transfer so appropriate handling can be ensured.

Look through the tape’s view window for any signs of a white, powdery substance, which may indicate mold. If mold is present, please notify the studio in advance so appropriate precautions can be taken. Cleaning service fees will apply — please inquire for details.
Physical Damage:
Examine the tape’s plastic casing for any cracks, broken components, or other visible damage. Inform the studio of any such issues prior to drop-off.
Copyrighted or Restricted Content:
If any of your tapes contain recorded television programs or other content that may be subject to copyright restrictions or should not be transferred, please discuss this with the studio beforehand to ensure proper handling and compliance.

8mm Film Inspection Guidelines

Before submitting your film for transfer, please inspect the reels for any signs of a white, powdery substance, which may indicate the presence of mold. If mold is detected, kindly inform the studio in advance so appropriate handling measures can be taken. Cleaning service fees will apply — please inquire for details.

Additionally, please notify the studio if your 8mm film contains an audio track, as this may affect the transfer process.
